I planted this row of red roses by Nook's to help grass grow back.
I was really surprised when they made a black rose!

Our first blue rose spawned pretty quickly! <3
I got tired of stepping off pathways to water flowers, so about this
time started placing them in straight rows. This makes watering super easy
because all I need to do with my silver watering can is water one flower
in each pair.

(It finally struck me that taking a picture with the date showing
would be a good idea!)

We moved the blue rose alongside a black one in hopes of getting
another blue rose. After days of nothing, they finally spawned black.

Here were a couple of quiet days:

We were still trying to get more blue roses but somewhere along
the way we ended up with a couple of pink cosmos, so we set
those out for a little variety in color and they surprised us
one day with a baby.

I planted the pink cosmos from the day before with the other two
and by the next day there was another!

In the meantime, we're still plugging away with the black and purple roses.

We are getting really good at black and purple roses!

We are getting really, really good at black roses
and we finally got another blue rose!

After the second blue rose we decided to see how many purple
and black roses had spawned during the time it took to get
the two blue roses.
Here is our black and purple rose booty by the 7th of March!

Remember those pictures back in February of the purple and black roses?
We had quite a few LOLs while we counted these.
Obviously, black roses rule Calico! :D
